No Bullying

Jennifer Joanou - Wednesday, July 10, 2013

I had a delightful lunch with my good friend yesterday who is VERY wise and she shared some sage advice with me. I came home and got to work on this journal page.  Here it is in its various stages:

The page was already covered in masking tape and the two colors of acrylic paint (done months ago) so I started writing what I learned from my lunch using a black sharpie.

I added images from magazines that "felt" right.

There were three things I wanted to remember; No Bullying, Listen to Yourself and Unacceptable so I cut those out using text from magazines.  I added the circles with white acrylic paint and a stencil, a few more bits of ephemera and for now, it feels done.  I might not feel that way in a week or two, but I can always go back and add more if I want to.
